Privacy policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
This policy explains what information PlayBolt ("we", "us") collects when you visit PlayBolt and how it is used. We designed the site to collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
- Game progress: high scores and similar state are stored in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
- Server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data — IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp — to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
- Advertising data: when ads are shown, Google and its partners may collect information as described below.
- Messages you send us: if you email us, we receive your address and message so we can reply.
We do not require accounts, do not ask for your name, and do not sell personal information.
Cookies and advertising
PlayBolt itself does not set tracking cookies. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- For more information about how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see Google's partner sites policy.
Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), a consent management platform is used to ask for your choices before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used. You can change your choices at any time through the consent link shown on the site.
Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: legitimate interests for delivering and securing the site; consent for personalised advertising and non-essential cookies; and consent or legitimate interests for responding to messages you send us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
PlayBolt is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links
Game pages link to the original projects on GitHub. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
